Job Details
The Simulator Technicians report directly to the Lead Simulator Technician and are responsible for conducting technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements to F-35 Pilot and Maintainer Training Devices in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.
Wage Range
$80,000 - $90,000
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoots technical problems and issues with the training devices
• Determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications
• Recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution
• Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications
• Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives
• Readies training devices for customer use and assists with mission specific preparations
• Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization
• Maintain DoD 8570 Level IAT-II certification
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
This position is located at a facility that will require special access clearance.
- Must have an active secret clearance with a completed investigation within the last 6 years.
- Must be able to attain and maintain F-35 Special Access Program (SAP) access.
- Candidates must have a final/transferable DoD Secret security clearance.
- Must be a US citizen.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Appropriate degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Security Plus certificate will be REQUIRED.
- Must be willing to support flexible work hours to align with customer operational schedule.
- Position may require candidate to participate in deployed operations to support customer requirements.
- Strong, proven verbal communication skills.
- Proven successful experience with instructional products and services, evaluating student training and leading pilot students.
- Basic MS Office suite skills
DESIRED SKILLS
- Experience with F-35 program highly desired.
- F-35 system knowledge.
- F-35 Full Mission Simulator experience.
- Technical Report writing.
- Experience with drawing/schematics reading and interpretation.
- Fault Isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system level.
- Airframe & Power plant (A&P) license.
- Military Fighter Aircraft experience.
- Knowledge of CATIA & System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE).
- Previous Field Service FSE/REP experience.
- Vehicle Systems (APG)/Avionics experience (F-22 or F-35).
