Platform Owner, E-Commerce Development

What You’ll Do

• Provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership across multiple agile delivery teams for e-commerce platform development.

• Own the e-commerce knowledgebase and serve as the go-to expert for platform-related inquiries and innovation.

• Define and enforce architecture, coding, and design standards across all applications deployed on the platform.

• Oversee backlog management and prioritize technical debt retirement in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Guide onboarding, training, and oversight of both in-house developers and external consultants.

• Monitor platform roadmaps and lead initiatives to capitalize on new capabilities and mitigate risks.

• Foster stakeholder education on platform capabilities and identify opportunities for broader adoption across the organization.

• Direct proof-of-concept work and platform vendor relationships.

• Support environment configuration, automated deployments, and pre-production refreshes.

• Set goals and metrics to track platform performance and delivery quality.

• Participate in escalated troubleshooting for customer-facing issues as part of an on-call rotation.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field—or equivalent work experience.

• 10+ years of experience in software architecture and development, including 5+ years in leadership roles.

• Deep experience with enterprise development tools including Java, Angular JS, Spring, .NET, Kafka, Cassandra, and more.

• Expertise with APIs, web services, system integrations, responsive/adaptive design, and core web vitals.

• Strong knowledge of Git and other version control systems.

• Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Proven success building cross-functional relationships and working in global and diverse environments.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with project management tools and collaboration platforms (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

• Ability to manage competing priorities with organizational discipline and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of cloud-based custom application development.

• Experience mentoring and coaching technical teams.

• Exposure to high-level solution design and environment automation tools.

• Proficiency in Visio, LucidChart, and other architectural visualization tools.

• A creative mindset with the willingness to challenge the status quo and experiment.

Expected salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000 per year

Other benefits include eligibility for annual incentives, 12% pension employer contribution, and competitive medical benefits.
