Job Description

Planning / Scheduling

• Manage production scheduling, to ensure all customer product is scheduled and produced on time.
• Liaise as required with the regional manufacturing managers to establish weekly production plans.
• Coordinate and oversee manufacturing operations in order to forecast orders and meet customer demands based on sales forecast/requirements.
• Conduct monthly capacity and performance analyses to ensure that forecasts and schedules are aligned.
• Engage in short- and long-term planning.

Logistics

• Establish relationships with freight forwarders, distributors and major airlines to ensure continued efficient shipping and delivery of product.
• Oversee and manage the delivery of product from manufacturing sites to customers along with the associated documentation.
• From a global perspective, have an understanding of the shipping and logistics landscape so any significant changes are acted upon immediately to prevent any impact on the delivery of product.
• Make formal presentations to senior management both within the company and to external companies.

Process and Systems Improvement

• Ensure all documented processes within the area of responsibility are well communicated to the team.
• Implement strategies to improve service quality, employee efficiency, equipment performance and interdepartmental communication.
• Work with Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance to all ensure necessary approvals have been obtained and the correct documentation is being supplied with product that is being shipped globally.

Productivity

• Prepares flow charts, graphs and comprehensive reports
• Prepares cost benefit analysis of operations, goals and objectives
• Analyze cost and/or process efficiencies across the Department, including processes and resources
• Review Production Schedules consistently to ensure operating at the highest possible efficiency
• Ensure Operations data accuracy within SAP to enable accurate and transparent reporting
• Review waste and constraints from processes to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity
• Responsibility for supporting Production Planning and Logistics Operations globally

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• SAP ERP experience preferred
• Process improvement and change management experience essential
• Previous supervisory/manager responsibility
• Minimum of 10 years Operations experience
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large volumes of complex data to develop recommendations.
• Strong data processing skills with the ability to create clear and concise reports from large data sets
• Strong presentation and communication skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability drive productivity initiatives through multiple functions.
