Purchasing Assistant Job Overview:

As a part of the purchasing department, you will gain practical administrative experience in a variety of activities in both a manufacturing and office environment. You will work closely with purchasing agents to support daily operations.

You’ll be a great fit if:

• You can assist with gathering and cataloging eBay auctions for tooling
• You are able to re-establish due diligence for all current AVL suppliers
• You can pull parts, labels, and issuing to jobs for 8500 demands
• You can receive sub-contract and materials for PO's
• You are able to send out NDA renewals to AVL vendors
• On a monthly basis you are able to update vendor certificate renewals
• You can assist with DMR paperwork processing
• You are able to do a monthly inventory on chemicals
• You are able to assist with inventory at sister locations 
• You can perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

 To be considered you’ll need:

• High School diploma or technical background/education would be a bonus
• Some manufacturing experience is preferred 
• Basic Excel skills
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Some ERP experience is preferred
