About the role
Position Summary
The Assistant Director for Post-Approval Monitoring (PAM) and Quality Assurance, reporting to the Director, Human Research Protections Program, plays an integral role in the Human Research Protection Program’s responsibilities to ensure compliance with federal, sponsor, and institutional responsibilities and the protection of research participants. It achieves these responsibilities through the successful management of the PAM Program’s day-to-day activities, including conducting for-cause and routine monitoring, preparing PAM reports and presenting them to relevant parties (e.g., investigators, IRB, institutional officials), and facilitating communication among stakeholders throughout the PAM process. The position also manages NYU’s compliance with ClinicalTrials.gov and supports the HRPP’s education and outreach initiatives.Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's Degree Preferred Education:Master's Degree Required Experience:3+ years Direct experience with human research protections Preferred Experience:5+ years 5+ years direct experience with human research protections Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:• Expert knowledge in human research protections regulations/policies (e.g., 45CFR46, NIH Certificates of Confidentiality) • Effective communication and organization • Experience with IRB management systems (e.g., Cayuse Human Ethics)Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $120,000.00 to USD $140,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
