POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for optimizing the performance of the transportation systems. These systems include SAPTM, various TCT tools (Operation Visibility/Event Management), and supporting systems (Dock & Yard, NesPro, and OS&D Portal). Since the transportation systems engage with other Nestle systems and multiple 3rd party systems (Rand McNally, CzarLite/SMC3, BreakThrough Fuel, DAT, FourKites, OpenText, TRANSPOREON /TNX, Ship Edge, Cargoo, and RPA/bots), this person needs to understand how these systems function and interact with each other.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Systems:

  • Configure, monitor, upgrade, and maintain the following Transportation and related systems to allow for peak system performance:
    • SAPTM including carrier rates, carrier accessorial packages, facility route guides, carrier capacity commitments, lane durations, spot market, and order/load optimizer.    
    • Transportation Control Tower tools including In-transit Visibility, Operational Visibility Tool / Event Management, and Route Guide Compliance / Benchmarking.
    • Supporting Nestle Systems including Dock & Yard, NesPro, Nestle Carrier Portal, and Over, Short & Damage (OS&D) portal.
    • Functionality of .the following 3rd party systems: DAT, Break Through Fuel, Rand McNally, SMC3, UPS, TRANSPOREON / TNX, and FourKites
  • Support technical teams during P1, P2, and P3 situations.  Lead the communication effort to the T-Hub front line users and provide direction  
  • Utilize the Level 0 (L0) ticketing system as the primary system to engage with the T-Hub planners on system related issues.
  •       Engage, collaborate, and support various groups to ensure that Transportation systems are functioning properly:
  • Work with internal Nestle systems teams (Global product team(s), EDI, and IBM (Level 1 support).
  • Work with system teams from external vendors to understand functionality, and to trouble shoot product / connection issues.
  • Work with the process optimization team to ensure the system functionality and process design are aligned.
  • Work with T-Hub planners and 3rd party carriers to understand, diagnose, and correct system issues.
  • Work with project managers to ensure that the systems are connected and configured to support the end state design.

 

Reporting:

  • Understand the data elements available from each system, and how they can be utilized to create reports and dashboards to support operational KPIs. 

 

Analysis:

  • Analyzes manual and computer-generated reports regarding system performance. 
  • Summarizes data for use in commentaries to various management groups.
  • Understand various business policies (CPU, order lead time, KPI, etc.) to ensure that the systems are configured to support the business.  

 

Miscellaneous:

  • Continuous development of business/system knowledge and skills.
  • Participate in projects, as requested.
  • Meetings and other miscellaneous tasks, as required.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
Bachelor’s degree required. 

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years’ experience supporting SAP-Transportation Management (SAPTM)
  • 3+ years’ experience with various supply chain systems (WMS, mileage engines, appointment scheduling grids, LTL rating engines, in-transit visibility), and how they interact with SAPTM.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science / Information Systems
