Bank Operations Intern

Montecito Bank & Trust is offering a paid Bank Operations Internship in our Bank Operations department. This internship is in a fast-paced environment and the intern will work with all members of this department as well as other Bank Departments as needed.

Minimum Requirements, Activities & Responsibilities

 Education and Experience: 

• A high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of College/University coursework preferred.

 Intern Responsibilities: 

Under the direct supervision of the Operations Support Manager, the intern will provide support for the following projects:

• Document Management: Validation and comparison of records in Ops Support and Loan Services.
• Title policy review and process for Loan Services.
• Procedure Management: Document imports for procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.  

 Skills and Capabilities:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to relate to people in an open, friendly, and professional manner.

 Anticipated Outcomes:

• To provide work experience that will integrate the knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skill development learned in a professional setting.  

 Schedule:

• The internship program will run from May/June 2024 through August/September 2024 (flexible depending on school schedule or other job obligations). 
• 40 hours per week 
• In-person office work in Goleta, CA is required
