Note: The standard work schedule for this position will be Thursday through Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but may alternate between shifts and holidays as needed. Successful candidate must be able to follow verbal communications and be able to read and comprehend written directions. Also, must be able to interpret written directives, policies, and memos. An essential function of this position requires the individual to exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. It also requires constant or frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, and depth perception. You must be able to perform this level of physical exertion and essential functions in order to be considered for this position. This position will wear personal protection equipment and standardized uniforms.

*Shift Differentials will be paid to Employees in eligible classes as published in the State’s annual pay plan.
  • Regular rate applies when work hours fall between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (no shift differential). 
  • Second shift differential rate (7.5%) applies when half or more of the scheduled work hours fall between 4:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. 
  • Third shift differential rate (14%) applies when half or more of the scheduled work hours fall between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. 
  • Weekend differential rate (20%) applies when more than half of the scheduled shift hours fall on a weekend shift. Weekend shifts start at 4:00 pm Friday through 6:00 am Monday

Your application must provide a detailed description of your relevant work experience in relation to the following duties: This full-time position is located in the Security Department at Colorado Community College System - Lowry Campus. Position will work with a broad range of people campus wide to ensure situations are appropriately addressed and expectations for safety are achieved.

Patrolling and Call Responses
Conduct security patrols of campus and all College buildings and facilities on foot or by other means (i.e. patrol car, bicycle, etc.) and provide stationary security post duties as assigned. Respond to all calls for service directed by radio, telephone and/or supervisory and management personnel of the Security Department. Insure that security supervisory and management personnel are notified in a proper and timely manner of breaches of security occurring on College properties or of information received that may create a security risk for College properties such as trespassers and contact local police as appropriate. Perform safety escorts to and from vehicles and College facilities upon request for members of the campus community. Check areas for unauthorized personnel or movement of students.
