The Role

The CAA Baseball team of player representatives and draft advisors has more than 250 years of combined industry experience and is second to none in its commitment to 360-degree athlete representation. Like all divisions within the company’s walls, the baseball group brings a unique and intimate team approach to draft advisement and representation. This model holds true for a player's entire career arc and allows for a culture of collaboration that is unrivaled in today's agency landscape.

CAA Sports is seeking an Assistant to support Agents in our Baseball department. The Assistant will provide administrative support and assist with the department’s operations needs. The ideal candidate should work well under pressure, demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, and have a passion for baseball.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support including travel arrangements, expense reports, and internal and external meeting preparation
  • Prepare and submit accurate expense reports
  • Request, organize, and distribute 1099s to client financial advisors
  • Manage bloodwork process; request kits, schedule Phlebotimist appointments and meetings with players and scientists, attend meetings to take notes and relay to clients
  • Track and manage accounting/invoicing process for all marketing deals
  • Support creative team by producing graphics and content to be used on CAA Baseball’s social media platforms
  • Complete miscellaneous admin tasks from all agents
  • Oversee ordering, invoicing, and tracking for equipment
  • Organize all Spring Training Paperwork and upload to all necessary contracts to One Drive

Qualifications 

  • 2+ years of experience providing direct administrative support
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients, colleagues, and business contacts at all levels
  • Adept at quickly learning new processes, technology, and ability to assimilate oneself and become familiar with existing systems.
  • Strong command of the Microsoft Office suite with proficiency in Power Point

Preferred Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in a support role at a sports talent agency, pro or collegiate team, or marketing firm
  • Knowledge of the sport and industry of baseball
  • Proficient in Adobe CC programs (included but not limited to Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign, and Illustrator)
  • Basic knowledge of video editing and production
  • BA/BS from an accredited university
  • Bilingual – Spanish and English

Location

  • On-Site in Los Angeles, CA

Compensation  

The base hourly rate for this position is in the range of $22.00-25.00. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, wages may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
