Financial Reporting Processing Specialist, Self-Directed Services

The work we do directly supports employers with disabilities in experiencing greater self-determination, independence, and choice. Expanding our administrative capacity when it comes to financial statements, budgets, and reporting to support our continual growth is essential to helping us live up to our mission. The Financial Reporting Processing Specialist processes all annual budgets, revised budgets, and budget modifications, monitors expiring budgets, and auto extends them 90 days from the date of expiration, communicates to Budget Review team when budgets have been auto extended over 180 days, and assists with budget corrections as needed. The Processing Specialist assists with providing timely and precise financial documentation and communicating with participants and their planning teams within Self-Directed Services. The Processing Specialist ensures accuracy of internal accounts systems and follows a strict protocol for processing new budgets and modifications to existing budgets. The Processing Specialist must be versatile and able to successfully manage multiple demands and processing deadlines. 

The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate a high level of customer service experience, value accuracy and attention to detail in their work, communicate clearly and professionally with all stakeholders, and work well independently and as part of a team.  

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, though a BS in business or accounting is preferred, with a minimum of (3) three years of combined experience in General Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Payroll. The wage is $25.00/hour and the position comes with a competitive benefits package. This is a remote position, but the candidate must be able to travel to our Severn, Maryland headquarters or other Maryland sites for quarterly meetings as needed.
