Title: Bossar Machine Operator
Location: Nampa, ID
Job Summary:
As a Bossar Machine Operator for Materne North America, you will be responsible for the operation and monitoring of the FFS (form, fill, seal) equipment for our manufacturing process.
This position is for D shift - Thursday through Sunday and E/O Wednesday from 7:00pm - 7:00am. This shift has a night premium of an additional $4.
Position Responsibilities:
- Operate high-speed manufacturing equipment through touchscreen/HMI
- Lift and add rolls of packaging film into machine
- Observe materials to identify contamination or foreign materials
- Inspect pouches for uniformity and quality
- Document all necessary supply inventories
- Operate industrial carts and forklifts in a safe manner
- Perform troubleshooting and basic maintenance of equipment
- Clean packaging area and sanitize equipment
- Complete daily paperwork and reports
- Perform and complete sensory testing
- Must work a minimum of 12 hours
- Responsible to support a food safety and food quality culture
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for an entire shift (12- hours)
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs multiple times per shift
Education:
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Technical / Trade School preferred
Experience:
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience working in the food industry is a plus
Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate (verbal, read, write) effectively in English
- Mechanical aptitude
- Computer skills (data entry & experience with an ERP system in a production environment preferred)
- Basic math skills, including competency with weights and measures (must be able to take measurements and understand tare weight).
