This role requires strong organizational, multitasking, critical-thinking, and customer service skills, along with familiarity with medical terminology. </span></p><p><span><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></p><p><span><strong>Patient Flow & Record Keeping:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>Communication Hub:</span></li><li><span>Unit Management:</span></li><li><span><strong>Support for Staff:</strong></span><ul><li><span>Provide clerical and administrative support to nurses and other medical professionals.</span></li><li><span>Ensure unit operations run smoothly by managing data and maintaining a clean, orderly work environment. </span></li><li><span>Manage and reorder medical supplies and equipment for the unit.</span></li><li><span>Schedule diagnostic tests, procedures, and appointments for patients.</span></li><li><span>Assist with preparing insurance forms and other administrative documents. </span></li><li><span>Answer and screen incoming telephone calls and take messages.</span></li><li><span>Relay physician orders, test results, and patient status updates to appropriate staff.</span></li><li><span>Act as a go-between for the medical staff, patients, and their families, answering administrative questions. </span></li><li><span>Coordinate and document patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.</span></li><li><span>Assemble, organize, and maintain patient medical charts and electronic health records (EHRs).</span></li><li><span>Record and relay information between patients, families, and the medical team. </span></li></ul></li></ul><p><span><strong>What do we offer</strong></span></p><p><span>We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
