What We Offer 

This is an on-call position, which means it is a part-time, hourly role. This position will work no more than 39 hours per week. The pay range for this position $20.76/hour - $25.95/hour, based on experience, and is eligible to enroll in the City and County of Denver’s 457b retirement plan. This position is not eligible for other additional benefits. Oncall positions may have routine or variable work schedules.

What You’ll Do 

#SeeYourself: Making an impact in your community through supporting the day-to-day administrative operations of a large-scale recreation program area. The City and County of Denver’s Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is currently seeking an adept and accomplished administrative professional to join this team as Administrative Support Assistant supporting centralized operations for Adaptive Recreation and DPR’s network of facilities. 

As an Administrative Support Assistant supporting the Adaptive Recreation Team, you will: 

  • Promote and demonstrate a high level of customer service by listening and responding to customer feedback in a timely and courteous manner through phone, email, and in-person interactions 

  • Collaborate with Recreation Therapists to identify and address administrative needs for the Adaptive Recreation Program Area 

  • Assist with Adaptive Recreation program registration and address registration requests from customers, as needed 

  • Organize inventory, track assets, and purchase supplies and equipment for program area  

  • Travel between, deliver supplies, and provide administrative support at recreation centers as needed 

  • Monitor and manage email communications, send follow-up emails, develop and maintain a tracking system, and conduct post-program follow-ups with staff and families for Inclusion Support Services 

  • Organize and maintain program participant records and attendance
