About the role

Responsible for the vision and implementation of the expense reduction strategies for the Mount Sinai Health system by leading the Value Analyses, Sourcing and Category Managers programs within Supply Chain.

  • Establishes and ensures the implementation of the annual cost savings goals.
  • Hire talent in Value Analysis, Sourcing and Category Management to foster innovation and diversity of thought and experience. Creating a culture of continuous learning to prosper in an ever-changing business environment
  • Responsible to ensure the VA teams have the resources needed to achieve annual goals
  • Provides mentorship to sourcing and value analysis team members to improve their ability to conduct detailed quantitative analysis of direct and in-direct savings opportunities
  •   Establishes, reviews. and revises performance standards for assigned team members, interacting appropriately to set goals, communicate expectations, and provide feedback.   
  • Lead value analysis teams to garner physician and stakeholder engagement around product utilization reviews and opportunities for standardization
  • Have a thorough understanding of the balance between Cost Quality and Outcomes
  • Creates relationships with all levels of organization to identify and implement cost savings strategy
  • Maintains the policies and procedures that govern the procurement process Serves as an expert resource on the procurement strategy.
  • Continuously identifies operational and standardization efficiencies to ensure maximum projects can be completed each calendar year. 
  • Develop partnerships with other internal and external leaders to ensure that the cost reductions strategies are aligned with clinical objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to build a culture of trust, problem solving, innovation and ownership.
  • Lead value analysis teams to garner physician and stakeholder engagement around product utilization reviews and opportunities for standardization.
  • Graduate degree preferred, Bachelor’s degree acceptable.
  • 10-15 years’ experience in healthcare. Experience could be in Supply Chain or in a clinical setting with management experience
  • CMRP preferred
