Job Description
AECOM Hunt is seeking a Senior BIM & Data Analyst Manager-Digital Technology to be based in our Phoenix, AZ office, with strategic home/remote work flexibility.
The Senior BIM & Data Analyst Manager elevates our digital technology capabilities with a strong emphasis on leading the evolution of our Digital Technology BIM & VDC data-driven approach, providing deep knowledge of leveraging construction data and Business Intelligence to ensure critical information is accessible in real-time for informed decision-making across all AECOM Hunt’s world-renowned projects.
The primary duties of this role are to lead our practice of Information & BIM Management, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, System Design & Application Ecosystem leveraging data, Digital Assets, and technology-led Innovation and Change Management. This role will lead through his/her proven expertise in synthesizing data utilizing Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Autodesk Construction Cloud Insight, and other individual as well as integrated systems, etc., and will be a key partner in our pursuit of perpetual innovation.
The Senior BIM & Data Analyst Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Lead digital upskilling of the project team, ensuring data is clearly visualized, understood, and leveraged throughout the project’s lifecycle.
•Extract critical data from various digital technology applications and systems; collect, synthesize and translate data to useful information by creating visual dashboards and project information hubs.
•Work collaboratively within our core Digital Technology team Western region to strategize, implement, and leverage digital technologies as well other related leading-edge methodologies to secure the advancement and continuous innovation of our digital project delivery.
•Schedule and meet with Project Executive, Project Manager, and General Superintendent upon being awarded any project to provide optimal BIM and digital project start-up.
•Ensure projects have adequately defined BIM and data system requirements using advanced Information Management methodologies for optimal digital project delivery.
•Assist setup of data-driven 3D model project templates as needed for coordination during project start-up while collaborating with the project team to ensure the project is optimized through its lifecycle.
•Support other digital technologies as required by the project; assist in generating BIM 4D sequencing, 3D visualization, synthesize 360 reality capture and laser scanning; assist in data extraction from drone technologies and translate digital data into relevant and useful information.
•Continually support the project to ensure that DT/BIM–VDC Engineers are delivering BIM requirements as outlined in AECOM Hunt’s DPDxP while maintaining high corporate standards.
•Provide leadership and coaching to junior DT/BIM–VDC Technicians and Engineers to guide their development of critical industry knowledge and understanding of corporate standards. This mentoring will aid in their growth and prepare them to be self-sustaining on future projects.
•Assist with preparing subcontract & A/E contract language to obtain effective BIM models.
•Participate in project kickoff meetings; partner with the DT/BIM–VDC Manager and VDC Specialists and Engineers to ensure proper information is delivered to project teams and subcontractors.
•Participate in and manage the development of presentations, including the creation of data visualization charts, etc., for proposals and marketing materials.
•Collaborated with Owners and key stakeholders as well as other project teams and suppliers to elicit and understand BIM requirements in order to achieve objectives on a large infrastructure project.
