Contribute to the Development of New Memory Products by Assisting With Datapath Design, Layout, and Optimization of PPA.
- Define the architecture and chip plan of the product, including placement and routing optimization
- Block level design of high speed datapath circuits with modeling parasitics and supervise the layout
- Perform circuit simulations using standard industry simulators
- Validate functionality and performance to meet specifications
- Document and review final results with experts and stakeholders
- Make sure that design operate within safe reliability operating range
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
Also, requiring reasonable knowledge/experience on below
- Knowledge on high speed circuit’s performance, power and area optimization
- Knowledge on high speed circuit details for NVDDR interface like (Single-ended) Rx, Tx, SerDeS, Equalizer, ZQ
- Knowledge on high speed interfaces for NAND applications like NV-DDR4/LPDDR5/LPDDR6 as well as host interface like UFSx/PCI Express GenX
- Knowledge on CMOS process and BSIM mode
- Hands-on experience in RTL writing and synthesis
Contribute to Cross-Group Communication to Work Towards Standardization and Group Success
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design specifications and requirements
- Collaborate with Product Architect to define new features capabilities versus application requirements
- Collaborate with the Signal Integrity team to validate signal integrity and power delivery
- Collaborate with the Package design team to ensure alignment between the design and package for high speed design requirement
- Collaborate with the corporate ESD team to meet product ESD requirements
- Collaborate with the System Architect to enable features(e.g. new training) for high speed IO operation
- Collaborate with the Product Engineering team to define test requirements, silicon validation plans and achieve high speed yield
- Collaborate with CAD and R & D teams to define the process collateral, including standard cell library, process files and optimize simulation run time and accuracy
Debug and Validate Products (Post-Silicon)
- Provide training to product validation team on design architecture and features
- Develop post-Si design validation plan and use it to validate internal functionality
- Support Product Validation team in the debug of product, characterization and test issues
- Implement design fixes and drive new tape-outs when required
Maintain Technical Expertise and Provide Training
- Mentor and provide consultation to internal and external team members
- Aid in communicating Best-Known Practices to entire department
- Prepare detailed documentation as required
- Contribute and participate in global Design forums
- Participate in continuing education and competitor analysis
- Participate in recruiting, and interviewing of new candidates
- Assure protection of IP by means of Patent activity
Support Design Feasibility Studies During Product Feasibility Phase
- Evaluate impact of requested features on effort, risk, and die size
- Explore innovative solutions and improve product competitiveness
- Work with R and D to define process technology capabilities versus application requirements
- Support R and D to define and optimize design rules and technology placeholders for cost, performance and reliability
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$145,000.00 - $295,000.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
