Basic Eligibility For A Position With The NRO

Where You Will Work

The NRO Signals Intelligence Systems Acquisition Directorate (SIGINT) is preparing for significant advancements in the collection, prosecution, and exploitation of SIGINT via a new generation of overhead collectors. Discovery Systems Program Office (DSPO) is focused on programs that expands overall capability and capacity, distributes capability across orbital layers, disaggregates functions across systems, and enables Enterprise elements to work collectively in peacetime and conflict to accomplish a wide variety of missions.

The DSPO Mission Systems Integration (MSI) Division has an exciting opportunity that is responsible for overseeing the work of a large government and contractor team conducting space systems engineering and integration activities which includes major design reviews, requirement management and verification, risk identification and mitigation, technical analysis supporting design trades, CONOPs development, advanced studies, pre-acquisition and acquisition activities, system activation and calibration, ground segment integration and interface management with external segments. Incumbent will guide technical aspects of contract actions, proposal evaluation, specification changes, technical tradeoffs, corrective actions, workarounds, and the evaluation of contractors' performance. Incumbent will also interface with industry and government team members to resolve space segment system engineering issues.
