Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent will support and conduct molecular, cellular, and biomedical research, while also managing day-to-day laboratory operations. Responsibilities include maintaining laboratory equipment, overseeing inventory, and ensuring the lab remains well-organized and compliant with safety and research standards.

Salary: $26.52 - $31.63 hourly

REQUIRED

1. Knowledge of basic cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemical principles.

2. Ability to use laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, pH meter, PCR machines etc.

3. Ability to handle tissue culture and maintain sterility.

4. Ability to prepare protein lysates and carry out western blotting.

5. Ability to organize raw data into comprehensible form.

6. Ability to create and maintain records accurately.

7. Ability to communicate effectively to convey experimental results.

8. Ability to learn new methods and protocols and to adapt these to current laboratory situations.

9. Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with faculty, staff, postdoctoral fellows, and students.

10. Demonstrate computer skills including knowledge of Excel and MS Word

PREFERRED

1. B.S in Biology or Molecular Biology.
