Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for overseeing the north side logistic operations to consistently meet or exceed business, customer, and compliance goals. The role will have an overall responsibility for developing and mentoring Shift Leaders, Maintenance and/or Area Coordinators, ensuring adherence to HSE and Process Safety Management (PSM) standards, and building positive working relationships within the site, functional organizations, and external agencies such as TSA, HOST agency, Marine vessels, Railroads, etc.

Summary of the Main Responsibilities:
• Accountable for all Safety, Environmental, and Compliance concerns in Area(s) of responsibility
• Directly supervise Area Trainer, Maintenance Coordinator and/or Operations Specialist, and FLSs
• Develop and mentor direct reports, and design improved training programs
• Drive productivity across key processes (bulk product loading, warehousing, logistics)
• Drive daily/weekly logistics goals/KPIs compliance
• Drive team to 100% compliance in an ever-changing environmental landscape
• Responsible for investigating and resolving customer complaints within areas of responsibility
• Accountable for DOT and PSM compliance in respective Areas.
• Ensure training compliance of hourly and salary staff (regulatory and developmental)
• Promote a safety-first culture that leverages the STOP process
• Ensure monthly safety meetings and regulatory training are completed to schedule
• Accountable for maintaining, revising, and issuing department/area SOPs
• Responsible for coordinating MOC process within each Area of responsibility
• Coordinate with the commercial team to provide the best mix of products
• Accountable for meeting cost center budgets in areas of responsibility
• Responsible for employee payroll sign-off
• Coordinate with external agencies such as TSA, HOST agency, Marine vessels, Railroads, etc. to ensure smooth operations
• Manage Health, Safety, and Environmental performance in accordance with company policies and regulations
• Ensure adherence to PSM standards across all operations
• Other duties as required

Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years of logistics experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Proven people-leader with a focus on shop floor engagement and collaboration
• Experience in promoting a safety-first culture
• Experience in coordinating with external agencies such as TSA, HOST agency, Marine vessels, Railroads, etc.
• Experience in managing and driving improvements in Health, Safety, and Environmental performance
• Experience in managing an area covered by PSM

Desired Qualifications:
• Proven safety champion
• College degree preferred.
• 10 years of logistics experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• 3 years of experience working in a unionized facility
• Bachelor’s degree in a discipline such as Logistics or Supply Chain Management
• Proficient Experience level with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Preferred
• Six Sigma Green or Black belt certification
• Lean manufacturing experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in driving c
