Job Summary

The Manager of Global Trande be responsible for the oversight of Global Import/Export Classification, Origin analysis, collaboration with global entities, global record keeping per in county regulations, mentorship and training to direct reports.  This role will have the oversight of Global Harmonized tariff schedule, schedule B, export control numbers are up to date and other government agency requirements, free trade agreement origin analysis, global record keeping, feed all trade related systems up to date (IDM, Prisma, Oracle, Integration point). In addition this role will be a fundamental part of product launch.

 

This role will operate remotely out of the U.S. and report to Sr. Global Trade Operations Manager.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Global Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Classification and OGA requirements-Oversight

• US HTS -Ensure direct reports are accurately assigning HTS per US Import regulations
• Mexico HTS and NOM requirements- Ensure direct reports are accurately maintaining the product library in Prisma collaborate with IMMEX Manager
• Canada HTS – Ensure direct reports are accurately assigning HTS per Canada import regulations
• Europe HTS – Ensure direct reports are accurately assigning HTS per Europe import regulations
• Ensure the system commodity attributes by CI Code – HTS, ECCN, Schedule B, CCATS are accurately and timely updated
• Assist direct reports with complex classification analysis and FTA analysis -POC for complex assignments
• Record keeping requirements for commodity attributes- per country requirement

 

Free Trade Agreement Origin Analysis

• Mexico
• US
• Canada

• All countries with sales channels
• Update system with Country of Origin for all CI Codes
• Record keeping – supporting the determination-per country requirement

 

Any other Customs Compliance related activities 

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Law, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or other related field.
• 5 yrs minimum experience in HTS classification and NOM requirements
• Familiarity with Global HTS classification
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) - advanced English
• Certification in Classification (designation of duty ranges)
• Experience with Free Trade Agreements and certifying country of origin
• Experience with Oracle, IDM, PDM, Prisma
• Advanced Excel skills
• Project Management skills
• Time Management
• Analytical, attention to detail

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience in Luminaires and parts and accessories

Travel Requirements

• Domestic and/or International (up to 25%)

 

The range for this position is $80,400.00 to $144,700.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
