Job Description Summary
The Associate Product Manager defines product requirements and provides industry expertise and insights into the product development process. Associate Product Managers work closely with the engineering, product, and design teams to plan, design, develop and rollout exciting product features.
We're seeking associate product managers with a strong background in SaaS who possess proven innovation skills and the ability to be a catalyst for change in a matrixed environment. Associate product managers dive into technical issues, breaking down complex problems into steps that drive product development in a timely manner.
What You’ll Do (Functions & Responsibilities)
- Gather, analyze, and prioritize product requirements from internal and external stakeholders
- Translate product priorities into actionable, clearly communicated product stories for software engineering.
- Act as user champion when coordinating product development with business stakeholder and align all development activity with business goals and priorities
- Serve as the central resource with design, development, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution
- Manage the product backlog (grooming, prioritization and refinement), working day-to-day with the product team to clarify requirements, balance business needs with technical requirements, and recommend alternative technical approaches to meet design requirements when needed
- Collaborate with marketing, sales and service on the development of product positioning, demo design, training courses, sales collateral, etc. to ensure that business objectives are achieved
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies.
