Job Overview
To perform routine checks, tests, gauging, and instrument inspections of materials, goods and process, and finished goods in the laboratory environment to assure conformity to standards set forth by the customer and/or the company.

Key Responsibilities

Duties

• Track and monitor gages and equipment calibration due dates in web-based software
• Carry out calibration testing on various types of instruments and equipment and schedule any outside services
• Complete and document purchase requisitions for outside services
• Analyze and interpret calibration data to identify any issues or trends
• Maintain, repair, and adjust testing equipment as needed
• Document all calibration checks, repairs, and alterations performed on each piece of equipment in web-based software
• Ensure that all calibration testing is carried out in accordance with established procedures and standards
• Train staff on proper techniques and gage use
• Attention to detail and accuracy of information recorded/documented is critical for position classified.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Calibration Technician
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, including the ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
