As an intern, you’ll work alongside experienced DevOps Engineers and Software Developers to help build, automate, and maintain systems that power our digital platforms.

Job Location: Milwaukee, WI

What You’ll Do: 

• Work with the team to design, automate, and support cloud-based infrastructure using AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools. 

• Assist in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated code deployments. 

• Support the development and improvement of monitoring and alerting tools to ensure system reliability and observability. 

• Help document processes related to deployment, system patching, and cloud resource management. 

• Contribute to scripting efforts (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate manual tasks and streamline developer workflows. 

• Participate in team meetings, Agile ceremonies, and code reviews to better understand DevOps best practices and workflows. 

• Learn how to troubleshoot and resolve real-world system and application issues in development and staging environments.

• Students currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 

• Career-changers or recent graduates looking to gain on-the-job experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Cloud Engineering. 

• Self-starters who are passionate about cloud computing, automation, and system architecture. 

Basic Qualifications: 

• Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred), either from coursework, certifications, or personal projects. 

• Familiarity with Git and version control concepts. 

• Some experience with scripting (Python, Bash, or similar). 

• Interest in infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD practices, and containerization (e.g., Docker). 

• Eagerness to learn in a collaborative environment and receive feedback. 

• Good communication skills and a team mindset.  

Nice to Have (But Not Required): 

• Exposure to AWS services like EC2, S3, CloudWatch, or Lambda. 

• Basic understanding of networking concepts and REST APIs. 

• Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or ECS. 

• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development practices.
