Overview

Responsible for providing portfolio management support for the Application and Data Architecture team to allow for overall project visibility (8-10 projects) and project manage directly (3-4) small to medium projects. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining relevant project management documentation such as project plans, JIRA tickets, executive decks, dashboards and reports, finance trackers, meeting notes, risk logs, and the like. This position is remote and will work across all time zones throughout the US, although primarily in Mountain and Central Time.

• Improve transparency for Application and Data Architecture team and leadership
• Provide cross-project visibility to account for interdependencies
• Manage 3rd party vendor to drive deliverables and follow through
• Drive assigned projects to completion while ensuring stakeholder engagement and awareness
• Develop a high-level portfolio view for the Application and Data Architecture team - reviews scopes and impacts to understand cross-project interdependencies

• Project manage application and data architecture projects as assigned - ~3 to 4 projects to starts
• Agile oriented execution and management
• Work will be based out of Jira
• Coordinate with architecture engineers, 3rd party vendor, and development resources to identify tasks, develop roadmaps and execute towards a completed deliverable
• Daily, hands-on program/project management throughout the program life cycle

• Ability to create long term strategy to optimize results
• Document program and project deliverables
• Utilize PMI PMP and agile methodology
• Plan and drive progress across several projects
• Integrate business policies and governance processes into planning & accountability for project roadmaps and strategy

• Establish risk management, escalation paths, and take corrective measurements
• Facilitate and lead project meetings and manage stakeholders’ communication
• Identify, build and report program KPIs to assess impact
• Coordinate, manage and monitor the workflow of cross-functional teams
• Provide and perform quality assurance checks on project artifacts and deliverables.

• Align deliverables (outputs) to the program/project workstream’s “outcome”
• Own overall integrated project plan and drive cross-functional partners to ensure on-time delivery, meeting of budgetary demands, and achievement of business goal

Responsibilities

Candidates must have strong practical experience in program and/or project management, which was gained through managing large and complex projects. Candidate must have the following:

• Minimum of 7 years strong program/project management experience managing multiple workstreams
• Program/Project Management working with Engineering, IT and Operations stakeholders
• Experience working in the following industries, highly desired - Managed Services, RF, Satellite, WiFi, Wireless, Mobile, Broadband, Video, Voice.

• Proven knowledge of project and program management methodology
• Experience with resource allocation procedures, budgeting and business case development a plus
• Excellent oral and written communications skills to stakeholders including the ability to influence, strategize and negotiate
• Ability to think analytically and process information quickly, presenting it in a succinct and insightful format suitable for stakeholders and executives required

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of program/project management experience
• Management or Business Consultant experience is helpful
• Experience in technical program/project management with cloud native technologies and data lake in a hybrid cloud environment
• Experience working with PMO stakeholders in engineering and operations team environment is desired
• Strong analytical and documentation skills are desired

• Direct hands-on proficiency with SmartSheet, PPT, Excel and JIRA are necessary

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required – Engineering, Computer Sciences, Communication, Business or Project Management preferred
