Field Operations Program Manager

We are looking for a Field Operations Program Manager. The person in this role will have effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, ability to self-direct, a background in data center design and construction, engineering, controls, and operational requirements and an emphasis on project/construction management with a high focus on the organizational and valuational components of the construction process.

This person will will be working with the site development team, general contractor team, commissioning team as well as coordinating with various internal stakeholders i.e. the Data Center Engineering (DCE) team among others. 

In addition, this position will be responsible for coordinating and reviewing contractor/vendor performance relative to cash flow and budget summaries and will clarify those reports in presentations to the delivery and executive chain. Other responsibilities include oversight and project controls, Professional Services Request, Change Orders, Pay Applications, etc. Additional tasks include Microsoft  partner engagement, as well as participation in communications plans, and community involvement with support from Data Center Operations (DCOPs) and Corporate Communications teams.

This role is a field-based role for the Milwaukee metro. Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must ​relocate or reside within 50 miles of the field location. This role is not eligible for hybrid or remote work.

Responsibilities

Project Management:

• Drive campus-based delivery solutions (e.g., new or retrofit data center facilities). Analyzes technical information and provides recommendations to support solutions. Assists campus teams in establishing goals for project teams, assigning responsibilities, measuring performance, and seeking and delivering feedback to achieve timely results.
• Regularly review cost and KPI metrics, invoices, process/policy communications to client partners.
• Provide the project with a single point of contact for development, quality control and delivery.

Managing Resources:

• Oversee timely execution of all  General Contract (GC)/ Contractor Furnished Contractor Installed (CFCI) and Owner Furnished Contract Installed (OFCI) procurement activities associated with resourcing and materials necessary for delivering program(s) on time and within project budget forecasts. Evaluates resources and ensures adequate staffing and materials for job completion.
• Coordinate meetings and activities of vendors, cost managers, and integration of lessons learned.
• Provide vendor oversight and performance management by walking the construction sites daily.
• Review and approval of vendor scope of work, and design review of site and building plans.
• Attending Owner Architect Contractor (OAC) and other project meetings, and report, as necessary.

Drive Results:

• Facilitates the delivery of metro-based/campus projects (e.g., new construction and/or retrofits) by making timely data-based decisions in partnership with the local project team and key stakeholders.
