Moon Valley Nurseries is looking to fill a full-time Accounts Payable Clerk. This individual will work closely with our Accounting & Finance Department to support daily accounts payable functions. Candidates must have office, bookkeeping, or accounting experience, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.

 Key Duties and Responsibilities                                                                                       

Process vendor invoices accurately and timely into Coupa


Verify invoice coding, approvals, and supporting documentation


Reconcile vendor statements, research, and resolve issues with vendors


Utilize excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with company personnel and/or vendors


Receive, stamp, sort and scan incoming accounts payable mail daily

This position will be a hybrid work schedule, 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.  
QualificationsQualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities                                                          


Prior Accounts Payable or accounting clerk experience preferred
Minimum 1–3 years of accounts payable or bookkeeping experience
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office applications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments and external vendors
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience using Coupa preferred


 

Education                                                                                       

Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.

 

 

 Physical requirements/Working Conditions                                                                                       

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 15 pounds. Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind.
