Senior Consultant - EU Technical Assistance Projects - Industries

The EU team at EY provides robust and evidence-based policy, regulatory and economic advice, and technical assistance mainly to the European institutions.
We make the “European Project” progress by helping our clients to:
- Gather evidence to identify main needs, challenges, drivers, and impacts;
- Anticipate change and design public policy responses;
- Provide technical solutions and implement them;
- Coordinate the interaction with key stakeholders and communicate decisions and actions to them.
You will be joining our team which has a high-profile, expanding EU project portfolio across a range of policy topics such as standardisation and product safety, industry & sustainability, digital markets, consumer empowerment & awareness , market surveillance, SMEs and entrepreneurship. We currently run projects and framework contracts for DG GROW, DG JUST, DG CNCT, DG ENEST, DG FISMA, EISMEA, the EP IMCO and ITRE committees and others.
Our success is powered by our excellent team of consultants and managers and we are now looking to strengthen it with the recruitment of a senior consultant who will be focusing on implementation of technical assistance projects and interaction with stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant, a motivated individual who can contribute to our project work and business development efforts in line with our vision, mission, and values. As a Senior Consultant, you will:
- Assist in implementation of complex projects, ensuring excellence in stakeholder engagement, and delivering evidence-based outputs on time and to the satisfaction of our clients;
- Demonstrate strong project management and self-organisation skills, ideally with the ability to follow specific project management methodologies;
- Provide intellectual and methodological support in EU projects and proposals;
- Support the organisation and coordination of day-to-day implementation of specific contracts, and where relevant guiding the team of more junior colleagues towards achieving project results while ensuring the quality of the desk research, analysis, surveys, interviews, stakeholder and community management, and reporting;
- Contribute to the proposal preparation process, including identifying relevant partners, development of methodologies, and assisting in the organisation and planning of the work;
- Bring fresh and innovative ideas to the team, encouraging collaboration and mutual learning;
- Support junior team members in their daily tasks.
Your Profile
You have:

- A Master’s degree in European Public Policy, Law, Political Science, International Relations, Communications or a similar field.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
- At least 2 years of experience working with the EU clients, both involved in consulting/research role and the development of proposals.
- Excellent communication and business development skills demonstrated through previous experience.
- The ability to work effectively within large multidisciplinary and multicultural teams involving partners, experts, and internal teams.
