Originally founded by two emergency room psychiatrists, Dr. Chris Carson and Dr. Robert Williamson, Connections Health Solutions brings 30 years of experience serving individuals in crisis and operates two of the nation’s largest and most studied crisis response centers and is currently expanding to more states.  Since opening our doors, we have provided care and treatment for hundreds of thousands of individuals in crisis.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

 

We’re looking for a highly skilled Financial Analyst to support our Finance and Revenue Cycle functions as the company looks to grow its core Finance capabilities. This role will offer a dynamic opportunity to provide FP&A support while partnering directly with the Revenue Cycle team to drive analysis. Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning and Analysis, this role will have extensive exposure to senior and executive leadership as well as across various teams in the organization. The Finance responsibilities will center around staffing analysis, billing workflows, and supporting our financial planning efforts. The Revenue Cycle responsibilities center around analyzing our revenue cycle data and providing insights to the relevant stakeholders.

 

The ideal candidate will have a Finance background coupled with exposure to healthcare revenue cycle, with strong abilities to manipulate large data sets and distill strategic insights.

 

Finance Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the annual business planning and subsequent forecast updates to achieve organizational objectives
  • Maintain clinical staffing models, continually improving frequency and the quality of insights for internal stakeholders
  • Analyze clinical staffing models versus actuals to determine key variances and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support month-end close cadence and packages, analyzing Budget vs Actual trends and responsible for distribution of financials
  • Assist with billing workflows and reconciliations as business and complexities continue to grow
  • Participate in special projects, including automation and other efforts, to streamline and improve reporting processes

Revenue Cycle Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct monthly financial analytics to measure revenue shifts due to factors such as volume changes, rate changes, service mix shifts, and acuity fluctuations
  • Develop and regularly update market-level revenue and collections reporting including rate/volume analysis, month-to-month variances, budget variances, and current trends
  • Monitor average rates versus rate cards and identify key discrepancies
  • Develop tools, methodologies, and data analytics to support the RCM team in monitoring trends in claims denials and collections rates
  • Assist with month-end close procedures, acting as the point person for revenue file generation and go-to individual for follow-up questions

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, such Accounting, Finance, or Economics is a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in progressive finance roles; preferably in investment banking, public accounting, or corporate finance in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in healthcare industry (revenue cycle management exposure a plus)
  • Ability to thrive in a high-growth and entrepreneurial setting
  • Advanced quantitative and excel skills, including ability to manage and manipulate large data sets and turn into actionable analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Team-first mentality, willing to roll up sleeves and dive in where needed; comfortable wearing many hats and managing competing priorities

It would be great if you had:

 

  • 4+ years of experience
  • CPA or CFA
