PayPal, Inc. seeks Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis in Chicago, IL
Job Duties: This role involves preparing reports, analyzing financial data, and collaborating with various departments to provide insights to senior leadership team that drive strategic decision-making. Support the annual budgeting and long-range strategic planning process, gathering and validating accuracy of inputs and prepare summary views to extract useful insights for management. Support the preparation of regular financial forecasts to update leadership on expected performance against budget & other commitments. Analyze financial plans, forecasts and results and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends, variances and insights to support decision-making. Work with segment FP&A teams to understand plan composition, risks and opportunities (R&Os) and perform scenario analysis as needed. Produce regular reports for senior management and the Board, summarizing financial performance, forecasts, and variances to plan. Investigate significant variances to provide financial insights. Perform analysis for specific projects or initiatives as needed on an ad-hoc basis. Work closely with other stakeholders and counterparts across the company to ensure appropriate flow of information, expectations and timelines. Communicate clearly the results of analysis to the management team where relevant. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls, working with auditors as needed. Create and maintain documentation of FP&A processes specific to own areas. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a closely related field plus eight years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.. Employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a closely related field plus five years of relevant finance or banking or accounting experience.
Special Skill Requirements:
1. Experience in navigating through complex financial models (5 years).
2. Excel and PowerPoint (5 years)
3. Experience with financial planning and consolidation systems e.g. Cognos TM1 (3 years)
4. Experience with Corporate Tax (1 year)
