About the role

The Senior DI&B Business Consultant will serve as a key advisor to organizational leaders, playing a pivotal role in the development and execution of transformative DI&B strategies. This position provides expert guidance, insights, and best practices to drive innovative and inclusive talent processes and foster a culture of belonging across the organization. Act as the D&IB subject matter expert by contributing perspective, insights, and knowledge, and taking a balanced consultative and systematic approach to enable the organization to achieve measurable results.

  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to integrate DI&B principles into sophisticated talent management processes
  • Partner with leaders to develop and implement high-impact DI&B strategies that align with and advance business objectives
  • Serve as a leading subject matter expert on DI&B topics, providing deep insights and guidance based on advanced research and best practices
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest DI&B trends and best practices to advise effectively and inform strategy
  • Build strong relationships with clients to understand their unique needs and develop customized DI&B solutions/recommendations
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide strategic recommendations to enhance diversity, inclusion, and belonging within the organization
  • Analyze complex data and metrics to identify trends, measure progress, and inform high-impact DI&B initiatives.
  • Develop tools & resources to empower team members and leaders to implement DI&B concepts and practices into their day-to-day
  • Proven excellent organizational, planning and leadership skills
  • Skill in adaptability, including being comfortable with ambiguity and change
  • Ability to create and sustain an environment of mutual respect, while continually learning about differences in our organization to support responsible, humane, and inclusive work and learning environments for team members
  • Advanced in facilitating difficult conversations, consultation, and developing and implementing strategies to achieve organizational and operational change
  • Mentor and support junior consultants in their professional growth and development.
  • Ensure compliance with Navy Federal’s standards, practices and processes
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or appropriate
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Human Resources, Diversity Studies, Organization Effectiveness, or similar socially focused major and or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in DI&B consulting or related roles, with a proven track record of high-impact initiatives
  • Strong knowledge in DI&B best practices, theories and talent trends with a strategic and innovative mindset
  • Proven relationship builder who is a change agent to multiple stakeholders and can collaborate with management as a tactical and strategic partner, coach, and trusted consultant
  • The ability to advocate for change, influence others, and collaborate across the organization to address complex and varied organizational challenges
  • Experience demonstrating thought-leadership, initiative-taking, decision-making and creativity solving business problems
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex data to develop actionable insights.
  • Strong project management, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects
  • Significant experience in working and participating in cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • The ability to build relationships and work in a collaborative, inclusive, integrated team environment
  • Demonstrated political acumen and the capability to handle items of a confidential/sensitive nature
  • Demonstrated resilience with the ability to handle a high workload and complex issues while meeting deadlines
  • Strong customer service focus, well developed communication skills and the ability to adapt and respond well to a changing work environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field such as Human Resources, Diversity Studies, Organization Effectiveness, or similar socially focused major and or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
  • Knowledge of NFCU operations, processes and procedures

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
