JOB SUMMARY
Our Principal Business & Financial Analyst will support the business strategy and objectives through data-driven analysis, reporting and financial planning. They will operate with a high degree of independence with in depth knowledge of the business areas supported.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Data and Financial Analysis: Create actionable, data-driven recommendations that impact business decisions using internal and external data and models
Business cases: Create complex business cases to analyze and justify investment decisions incorporating both business and financial data
Data visualization: Create meaningful charts, graphs and tables to communicate insights and trends
Data structure: Design business requirements for data architecture and integration; work with the Technology division to resolve data hygiene issues
Plan and Forecast: Coordinate business partner input up to the executive level on revenue and expense drivers; improve complex forecast models; design new forecast and planning models incorporating key business and financial data
Reporting: Maintain and improve existing periodic reports, and develop new reporting methodologies
Business Partner Support: Partner with management up to the executive level to answer complex analytical financial and business questions
Projects: Be responsible for components of business partner-led projects and lead internal projects to improve processes and operations
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Strong mathematical and analytical capacity
Strong business writing and communication skills
Strong knowledge of the principles of structured data
Advanced Spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets) and Presentation software (Powerpoint, Google Slides)
Familiarity with Tableau, BigQuery or SQL and Python.
Ability to quickly gain in depth understanding of new business models
Strong understanding of MWG business models
Ability to apply AGILE practices (Scrum)
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in related field plus 5 years of years of business analytics, finance, accounting or audit experience or High School diploma plus 7 years of of business analytics, finance, accounting or audit experience
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to apply AGILE practices (ScrumMaster)
