Job Description

As a Security Officer - Commercial Patrols in MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent commercial real estate location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, and staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, remaining highly visible to help discourage unwanted activity, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. You will also provide exceptional customer service, assisting individuals with inquiries and offering support as needed. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding incidents or site needs.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site policies.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
