National Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

The mission statement for this position is to:

Provide mechanical support and knowledge to the FDF’s to help ensure equipment is operational, properly maintained, and meeting all safety and food safety standards.

Accountabilities

Travel to the FDF’s and assist FDF Maintenance Personnel with major equipment installations and emergency repairs to minimize downtime

• Work in a manner that is safe, clean, and well organized
• Execute and complete corporate FDF Preventative Maintenance programs in those facilities that are not large enough to support a permanent mechanic.
• Assist in the establishment of and to monitor and maintain critical spare parts and equipment for the FDF business
• Provide feedback for ongoing reviews of existing Maintenance personnel
• To follow schedule performing rebuilds and completing all required paperwork to track costs and manage inventory

Qualifications & Experience Required

• A minimum of five years of direct hands-on experience in a manufacturing plant, preferably as a mechanic in a food processing or dough manufacturing plant.
• Experience using hand tools, reading and following mechanical drawings and manuals
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing production process equipment such as molders, rounders, dividers and electrical control panels.
• Able to communicate in a professional manner with all customers and fellow associates
• Basic computer skills in a Windows environment
• Good problem solving and organizational skills
• Valid Drivers License
