What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000/annually, based on experience and education. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to report to the Wellington Webb Building (201 W. Colfax Ave.) on your in-office days. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

Denver's Right-of-Way Services (ROWS) manages most activities in the City's right-of-way. ROWS is responsible for determining requirements for improvements in the public right-of-way, as well as reviewing plans for regulatory compliance, issuing permits, and inspecting work in the areas of transportation, wastewater, and survey.
The Engineering and Regulatory (ER) Coordination team within ROWS is looking for a Business Operations Administrator to support our work in evaluating capital projects, utility projects, and land use proposals within the public right-of-way (ROW). Our team ensures compliance with city, state, and federal regulations while fostering seamless coordination among diverse projects and stakeholders. For more information, please visit the ER website.
Few divisions within DOTI engage with such a wide range of complex and dynamic projects, public space activities, and stakeholders. We tackle unique, nonstandard challenges and play a key role in shaping the future of our city's infrastructure.
Specifically, as Business Operations Administration, this role will:
Apply DOTI, city, state, and federal requirements in processing submittals and applications for City and external agency capital improvement projects, utility projects, privately-owned encroachment permit applications, right-of-way vacation applications, easement relinquishment applications, and wireless small cellular site applications (e.g., 5G) for compliance
Partner with engineers, permit review technicians, and administrative staff to provide high quality customer service by meeting, following up with, and providing guidance to applicants, internal project managers, contract personnel, other city staff, and the public (practice city values – listen, dare, and deliver)
Provide planning-level collaboration, resolve plan review comments, provide process and technical gu
