Your Role
The Application Services team plays a critical role in enhancing customer satisfaction and technical collaboration while delivering all application development through a Platform and Technology Product Operating Model. The Full Stack Engineer role will report to the Director, IT Applications (Integration and Interoperability Platform). In this role you will be deeply involved in the design, development, and deployment of secure, high-quality software solutions. Your role will focus on integrating security and automation throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), with an emphasis on writing clean, maintainable code and building infrastructure that supports CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud-native delivery. You'll implement and enforce DevSecOps best practices tailored for Azure, contribute to infrastructure as code, and work closely with developers, testers, and cloud engineers to ensure code is secure, scalable, and production-ready from day one. - Develop reusable templates, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code modules to accelerate onboarding and integration of messaging and file transfer solutions.
- Implement and manage event-driven architectures and publish/subscribe patterns to support real-time data exchange and decoupled service communication.
- Create and enforce platform standards for message schemas, routing, retries, and observability.
- Integrate enterprise file transfer solutions with internal and external systems, ensuring compliance with security, audit, and data governance requirements.
- Collaborate with application teams to enable seamless integration with messaging and file transfer services, providing tooling, documentation, and onboarding support.
- Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of messaging and file transfer infrastructure through proactive tuning and capacity planning.
- Recommend and implement improvements to platform engineering processes to enhance agility, scalability, and developer experience.
- Enhance the reliability, scalability, and performance of platform services through CI/CD practices and infrastructure automation.
- Monitor and manage configuration changes across platform services using cloud-native monitoring tools, proactively addressing reliability and performance issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand integration needs, user behavior, and opportunities for AI-driven automation and developer enablement.
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience), with 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud integration, or pipeline automation.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Bicep or Terraform.
- Proven experience designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-native messaging and event streaming platforms (e.g., Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, Confluent Kafka).
- Hands-on experience with enterprise file transfer technologies (e.g., IBM Sterling, Axway) and secure protocols (SFTP, HTTPS).
- Solid understanding of message serialization formats (JSON, XML, Avro), RESTful APIs, and integration patterns.
- Working knowledge of Git and version control best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux server platforms, containerization (Docker), and orchestration in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
