Senior Business Analyst - Enterprise / Business Architecture
Overview:
As Global Payments’ capabilities and solution landscape expand, it is increasingly important to respond to change effectively and manage complexity. As a result, our Enterprise Architecture (EA) team is maturing its Business Architecture capabilities in order to fully understand the impacts of change, facilitate business alignment, better identify and reduce redundancies, and deliver actionable insights to leaders that help guide investment decisions. Therefore, Global Payments is seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to join our IT team and work closely on enterprise and business architecture initiatives by maintaining a relevant business architecture model, linking that model to our information technology landscape, and providing relevant dashboards and analysis utilizing our EA tooling. Moreover, this role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that align business needs with IT strategy. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of business architecture and extensive experience with enterprise architecture tools such as Enterprise Architect/Sparx, Abacus, LeanIX, and similar platforms.
The business analyst team will ensure Global Payments fully understand the impacts of change, facilitate business alignment, better identify and reduce redundancies, and deliver actionable insights to leaders that help guide investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and capture current state business architecture across the organization including business capabilities, organization units, actors, business functions, processes, business services, and interdependencies
- Analyze and capture application, data, and technology relationships to business architecture components in the enterprise model
- Work closely with key business and IT stakeholders to define and document business architecture, ensuring alignment with the overall enterprise strategy.
- Maintain up-to-date architecture models in our organization’s Enterprise Architecture tool and others to map, analyze, and optimize business processes, data flows, and IT systems. Provide insights that inform enterprise-level decision-making.
- Ensure enterprise architecture model data quality
- Participate in the development of transition and target state business architectures that satisfy business outcomes and align with enterprise strategies and standards
- Communicate target states to business and executive stakeholders to gain buy in and alignment
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations to address stakeholder concerns and needs
- Generate gap analysis reports, produce impact assessments, and model what-if scenarios
- Analyze activities and projects for current state impacts and target state alignment
- Evaluate the business architecture elements of merger and acquisition candidates and support integration activities
- Participate in the development of our EA toolset and related capabilities
- Requirements Gathering: Elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements related to IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring they support strategic business objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with enterprise architects, solution architects, IT infrastructure teams, and business leaders to ensure business and technical alignment.
- Process Optimization: Analyze and identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within business systems and applications.
- Data & System Modeling: Create high-level data, process, and systems models, ensuring clarity and consistency between business requirements and technical solutions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate regular communication with business and IT stakeholders to present findings, recommendations, and progress on initiatives. Provide clear documentation of architecture-related discussions.
- Change Management: Support change management initiatives by ensuring that changes to business architecture and IT systems are documented and aligned with business needs.
