Meaningful Work From Day One
Supports Brown-Forman Research and Development projects by performing testing, experimentation, product development or process research work assignments. Uses established scientific tools and procedures to solve routine and standard problems. Takes requests, implements testing, and analyzes and interprets data with supervision.
What You Can Expect
Supports the transfer of new products and process initiatives from the lab to the pilot plant and through to the successful implementation of the process/product to our global production facilities.
Acts as a liaison between R&D and production for startup initiatives by utilizing the pilot facilities for development and verification of specifications and standard operating procedures. Builds relationships with internal customers.
Uses approved project management and technology transfer processes.
Identifies and evaluates new technologies consistent with Brown-Forman strategies.
Provides engineering support to other functional areas within R&D. Serves as a technical support to the plants and production areas.
Understands the business background to the work requests and works with the supervisor to adapt the approach accordingly.
Collects, analyzes and interprets data using established methods. Uses data collection as an opportunity to learn the processes.
Leads and executes tests, experiments and product/process research requests from supervisor or other internal customers with supervision. Makes recommendations for new liquid development processes and findings from monitoring of established processes. Issues reports to supervisor or internal customers with minimal supervision.
Monitors, maintains, and troubleshoots instruments. Maintains a safe work environment in the pilot plant and at production sites.
Requires the ability to travel 10-25%. Range is project dependent.
What You Bring to the Table
Bachelors or Equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline
1+ years of work experience with engineering principles or project management
Strong computational skills relevant to engineering
Basic lab knowledge
Knowledge of statistics
Strong communication skills
What Makes You Unique
Bachelors in Chemical Engineering
1+ years of direct work experience in the alcoholic beverage industry
Experience using statistics
Bilingual English and Spanish skills
