The Work You Will Do:
SENIOR SAFETY & HEALTH SPECIALIST
District Six/District Safety
This position Inspect Department buildings, grounds, equipment, and field operations to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, codes, statues, rules, regulations, policies and procedures regarding industrial safety and health. It will also provide on-the-job-training and coordinates the training of employees on safety-related activities.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Inspects Department buildings, grounds, equipment, and field operations for all assigned areas to identify unsafe acts and conditions to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, codes, statutes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures regarding industrial safety and health programs. Issues orders to shut down activities when judgment indicates that imminent danger to life and/or property exists. Reports findings of these inspections and recommends the appropriate corrective action to the responsible Cost Center Manager. Ensures that the noted deficiencies are corrected.
