Salary Range: Entry rate is $273.56 per day (85% of full pay rate); Full rate is $321.84 per day

The Clerk Administrative position at BNSF Railway handles administrative and clerical tasks to support the Operations Work Force Management team whose responsibilities are for optimizing the allocation, scheduling, and utilization of personnel to ensure efficient and effective railway operations.

This is a full-time(40hrs/wk) position. Shift work is required - 2nd and 3rd Shift only - in a seniority based environment including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Railroad operations are 24 hours per day/7 days per week.

Travel is minimal.

Training for this position is company-paid on-the-job training.

Key responsibilities may include: 

Working independently and in a team environment in a 24x7 Contact Center.

Performing administrative and clerical functions consisting of filling vacancies for multiple scheduled (union) crafts, job bulletins, seniority movement, furlough recalls and first call resolution forn internal customers.

Interpreting information and applying rules and collective bargaining agreements.

Multitasking in a fast-paced environment and handling time-sensitive tasks.

Extensive telephone and email communication, along with significant use of various computer programs for data input, extraction, research, and analysis.

Typing Requirement for this position is a minimum rate of 25 wpm; 35 wpm is preferred. Candidates must pass a BNSF-arranged typing test.

Daily work is conducted in an indoor office environment.
