North Vista Hospital is a 216-bed, state-of-the-art acute care facility located in North Las Vegas, Nevada. The hospital provides comprehensive healthcare services, including behavioral health, emergency services, cardiovascular care, advanced surgical procedures, diagnostic imaging, and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions. Responsibilities
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for directing the financial operations of North Vista Hospital. The CFO ensures the integrity of financial reporting, develops strategic financial plans, manages budgeting and forecasting processes, oversees revenue cycle and reimbursement activities, and supports the hospital's mission through sound financial stewardship.
The CFO carries out all policies and procedures established by the Governing Board, consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the hospital. This role provides leadership for financial planning, accounting, budgeting, treasury management, capital planning, and financial performance improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership and serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Team.
- Direct all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning functions.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the hospital's financial records in accordance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Lead the annual operating and capital budgeting processes.
- Oversee cash flow management, treasury functions, capital expenditures, and debt financing activities.
- Analyze financial performance and develop strategies to improve operational and financial outcomes.
- Manage hospital financial issues related to budgeting, capital finance, cash management, reimbursement, and performance measurement.
- Collaborate with department leaders to establish financial goals and monitor performance against established metrics.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
- Oversee reimbursement methodologies, payer relationships, and revenue cycle optimization efforts.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations for strategic growth initiatives, acquisitions, and service line development.
- Work closely with auditors, regulatory agencies, and corporate finance leadership.
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance and accounting staff to foster a high-performance culture.
- Support operational excellence initiatives and continuous process improvement across the organization.

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive healthcare finance and accounting experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hospital accounting principles and healthcare financial management.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, capital planning, and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, insurance regulations, financial information systems, and hospital operations.
- Experience using computerized accounting and financial management systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare Administration (MHA), Finance, or related field.
- Two (2) or more years of healthcare financial leadership or management experience.
- Membership and active participation in ACHE, HFMA, or other relevant professional organizations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
