Description
The Anthropocene is a proposed geological epoch characterized by unprecedented human impacts on Earth's natural environments. The resulting societal challenges - climate change, biodiversity loss, pandemics - are expected to intensify as the human population and standard of living continue to grow. This course draws upon environmental and geographical thought to review the multi-dimensional issues we all face when living in the Anthropocene.

Requirements:

Requirements 
PhD in Geography or Environmental Studies (or close equivalent), with demonstrated work on the Anthropocene. Experience with real 
world issues and policy challenges. Experience with knowledge translation. Demonstrated capacity to explain current geographical 
knowledge to advanced students with diverging disciplinary backgrounds. Familiarity with seminar styles common to our department.
