Technical support engineer is a technical support role within the Cohesity support organization. The position is based in our local support centre in Santa Clara, where you will have the opportunity to work with other talented engineers to ensure that Cohesity customers receive the highest level of support possible. We are looking for passionate people who possess deep technical expertise as well as excellent communication and customer service skills to join our team!
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
Work with Cohesity customers to provide a timely resolution to technical issues that they may encounter
Use available tools to investigate and troubleshoot technical issues
Record customer interactions, including investigation, troubleshooting, and the resolution of issues
Work closely with Cohesity engineering and account management teams
Demonstrate considerable judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Provide the best experience possible for Cohesity customers
Manage workload to ensure that all customer issues are resolved in a timely manner
Assist in the development of comprehensive and reusable self-service solutions for future incidents
Develop knowledge base articles.
WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
Pursing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and will still be enrolled after your internship
Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving – Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly.
Operating Systems Knowledge – Familiarity with Windows, macOS, Linux.
Networking Basics – Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, routers, and switches.
Basic Scripting & Automation (optional but valuable) – Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Love solving difficult problems and possess critical thinking abilities.
Coachable, motivated, and humble
Ability to demonstrate their own projects and achievements
Willing to tackle difficult problems with a positive approach.

Ability to script and code and use your automation skills to reduce manual efforts.
Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual rate depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered.
Pay Range :
$40-$43/hr
