What this job involves:
As a Senior Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing complex project schedules across multiple departments and stakeholders, with projects involving both new build and renovation projects. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while having good knowledge of construction techniques/technology and real estate markets. You will collaborate with stakeholders to establish and track project budgets while working with project managers, team leads, and stakeholders to gather and analyze schedule-related information and identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and resource allocation issues.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and track project budgets
Work with stakeholders to develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using advanced scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project)
Collaborate with project managers, team leads, and stakeholders to gather and analyze schedule-related information
Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and resource allocation issues
Perform critical path analysis and risk assessments to ensure project timelines are realistic and achievable
Generate and distribute regular schedule updates and progress reports to key stakeholders
Conduct schedule impact analyses for proposed changes and develop mitigation strategies
Mentor and guide junior schedulers, fostering their professional development
Implement and maintain scheduling best practices and standards across the organization
Participate in project meetings and provide expert scheduling insights and recommendations
Identify and analyze potential risks that may impact project deliverables, timelines, or budgets
Research local, national and internal delivery times and develop risk mitigation strategies

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
5+ years of experience in project scheduling
Advanced proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Expert-level knowledge of scheduling techniques and critical path method (CPM)
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex information
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Adaptability to changing project requirements and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification or equivalent
Experience with both new build and renovation projects
Knowledge of construction techniques/technology and real estate markets
Experience mentoring and developing junior team members
Understanding of budget establishment and tracking processes
