Job Description

The Audio-Visual Services Manager oversees all levels of audio-visual services which encompass a full-service Conference Center, as well as meeting and conference rooms. This person will also have a professional rapport, share best practices and coordinate tasks with technicians throughout Fannie Mae. This team member is responsible for the successful daily operations of all audiovisual systems and services.  The position oversees the planning, set up and testing phases prior to events; ensures that the highest levels of customer service are met during the execution of events; and ensures that all technical issues are reported on an as needed basis.  The position is responsible for achieving both employee and customer satisfaction goals. The Manager is responsible for managing the audio-visual staff including recruitment; hiring; training and development; and ongoing individual performance management.

The Audio-Visual Services Manager role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Oversees Broadcast/Audio-Visual service for events, ensuring user satisfaction.
  • Meets with clients to script events and deploy highest broadcast and audio practices for high level and large-scale events.
  • Oversees all administrative processes associated with the planning and service phases.
  • Coordinates and interacts with other departments of the organization such as Information Technology, Facilities Management, etc.
  • Ensures that all audio-visual storage areas are clean and maintained, and that all equipment is properly stored and secured when not in use.
  • Develops protocols for equipment inventory, maintenance, testing, cleaning, repair, and lifecycle replacement.
  • Ensures that regular and effective communication is occurring between the events and audio-visual service staff.
  • Provides guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key service providers, consultants, and contractors as additional resources to meet customer needs.
  • Leads regular planning to discuss upcoming events and identify potential challenges and ways to overcome those challenges prior to the event.
  • Reviews personnel and equipment levels and makes recommendations for appropriate adjustments.
  • Develops and implements the operation plan and long-term strategies of the audio-visual department within the respective location.
  • Takes the lead in supporting all company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Assists with the implementation of all corporate initiatives and promotions as they pertain to audiovisual services.
  • Continuously develops department to align with new trends/innovation in the industry.
  • Serves as mentor to Team Members.
  • Develops staff training, cross training, and mentoring programs.

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 6 years related experience
  • In-depth knowledge of current Broadcast and Audio Visual, Webcasting and Online collaboration tools and protocols
  • Understanding of production process from pre-production thru post-production
  • Collective capabilities for leadership, including leading teams, giving feedback, facilitating meetings, and coaching and mentoring staff
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills
  • Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion
  • Ability to work with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively towards a common goal
  • Proven ability to influence including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
  • Ability to effectively communicate across a broad spectrum of stakeholders and at many levels
  • Proven ability to proactively build partnerships with key stakeholders to strengthen trust and collaboration
  • Experience troubleshooting complex problems and addressing root causes by analyzing data
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
