Education and/or Years of Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Data Analysis preferred but not required, as well as two years of experience in similar fields. If no bachelor’s degree: High School diploma or GED equivalent and at least 5 years’ experience in accounting, finance, business, and/or data analysis; or an associate degree with a focus in accounting and/or business and at least five years’ experience in similar fields.
*Note: Additional years of experience may substitute for the education qualification for a degree. Example: Two years of experience can substitute one year of education.
About Us:
The Office of CBC/ME Financial Accountability is under the Assistant Secretary for Administration located at the Department of Children and Families (DCF) Headquarters in Tallahassee, Florida. The office performs financial monitoring and analysis on nineteen (19) contracts with non-profits and one county government known as Community Based Care (CBCs) lead agencies that provide for foster care and related services. The office performs the same functions for seven (7) contracts with non-profits known as Managing Entities (MEs) to provide community substance abuse and mental health services.
What you will do:
This is a professional position performing highly responsible technical and operational analysis. The incumbent in this position will be expected to function independently and with minimal supervision to perform complex tasks. Occasional overtime and travel may be required. Time worked will be adequately compensated.
Specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for the following:
- Collects and performs complex analyzes of financial and client related data to provide information for operational and programmatic request for information.
- Prepares analyses that identifies outlier data.
