North America Senior Supply & Demand Manager

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Supply & Demand Manager in our North America Supply Chain to maximize Bavarian Nordic’s North American Regional business by creating an aligned customer demand signal and ensuring reliable supply of our vaccines from our manufacturing sites to our customers in the United States & Canada markets, thus strongly contributing to Bavarian’s sales ambitions. 

The North American Senior Supply & Demand Manager will be tasked with establishing an End-to-End demand generation and supply process between our Global Operations Organization and the North American Regional Markets, including establishing and owning an integrated North American Regional Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process that feeds into the Global S&OP process.  More specifically, the role will be responsible for generating market customer demand forecasts and ensuring reliable supply to the North American markets.   

The Senior Supply & Demand Manager is expected be a main communication partner on behalf of the North America Supply Chain to other North American functions (i.e. Commercial, Finance, etc) on any related demand/ supply processes, constraints and to partner with relevant regional functions to manage any related supply risks/issues to avoid market impact. 

The Senior Manager will also be a strong voice of the regional markets back into the North America Supply Chain & Global Operations related to market intelligence, issue management, prioritizations and market strategies to ensure the proper supply plan is created for each market. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Establish & own the North American Regional Sales & Operations Planning Process (ownership of Regional Demand Review, Supply Review, S&OP) ensuring its integration into the Global S&OP process
  • Generation of and aligned monthly unbiased & unconstrained regional market customer demand forecast for each market in collaboration with North American Regional Commercial & Finance through a pre-DRM and DRM process
  • Establish and manage a regional demand risk & opportunity process to maximize the regional business and identify risks to consider in the supply planning process 
  • Establish & monitor demand related KPI’s such as sales forecasting bias & accuracy to improve forecasting performance – define & implement corrective actions together with Regional Commercial and Finance functions
  • Ensure efficient demand management practices considering market demand opportunities, current supply plans, prioritizations, and constraints
  • Accountable for ensuring efficient and timely execution of North American regional supply plans for each market
  • Proactive supply issue management and resolution escalating/communicating, and collaborating with all necessary functions, ensuring prioritization based on market value impact  
  • Accountable for effective inventory management at the market level, ensuring supply is meeting safety stock targets, avoiding low stock or overstock situations. Monitors inventory KPIs to ensure compliance
  • Collaborates and works closely with Global Supply Planning to ensure optimal supply plans for market SKUs, providing necessary market insights and prioritizations to help build the plans
  • Responsible for ensuring North America Supply Chain meets or exceeds On-time, in full, service level, and other supply related KPIs. Contributes towards achieving optimal Reginal P&L 
  • Drives Regional Demand & Supply related continuous improvement initiatives and contributes to relevant strategic global & regional projects

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field 
  • Master of Business Administration preferred 
  • A minimum of 5 years in forecast generation, demand management & planning, supply management & plannin
