Shipping Lead

We are currently looking to add a Shipping Lead who is responsible for:

• Ensuring that truck drivers depart with appropriate paperwork.
• Directing and coordinating the activities of Shipping team to assist in preparing orders.
• Staging finished orders for shipping and load trucks.
• Leading shipping teams to accomplish safely on-time, complete, correct assignments.
• Performing other duties as assigned by management.
• Adhering to company policies and procedures. Report any employee or process concerns to Management.
• Following and encouraging all safety practices reporting any concerns to a Safety Team member or member of Management.
• Ensuring the quality of finished goods in the shipping process.
• Maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment (in the department and across other functions);
• Preparing commercial bill of ladings and international shipments as required.
• Guiding, supporting, and ensuring effective training of team members.
• Shipping customer orders domestically and internationally using specified carriers and freight forwarders.
• Prioritizing the daily shipping picks to effectively meet customer needs.
• Packaging of all outgoing shipments utilizing specified corrugated materials packaging.

Requirements

To be considered for the Shipping Lead, you must have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• History of success in a position of accountability is preferred
• 2+ years of shipping experience.
• SAP experience is a plus
• Proven ability to perform assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Basic Computer skills.
• Experience and ability to operate a forklift.
• Proficient counting / math skills
• Ability to lift >50 lbs., walk, stand, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, carry
