Working in our manufacturing plant, our General Laborers are vital to the success of our business. Your role will be to ensure our products maintain the highest level of quality our customers expect. At Associated Materials, we believe excellent results begin with you!

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Operate equipment and tools to cut, process, and assemble window components.
• Operate equipment and tools to cut and process siding components.
• Use material handling equipment.
• Pack and label finished goods.
• Inspect windows/siding and equipment and communicate any issues.
• Keep a clean, well-maintained workspace and complete housekeeping in your area.
• Maintain all safety standards. 
• Other duties as assigned, including housekeeping and cross-training to become proficient across multiple positions and production lines.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in an assembly-line or manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
• Perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend English language.
• Ability to use hand tools such as snips or chisel.
• Must be able to use, understand, and thoroughly read a tape measure.
• Be dependable and on-time with attendance.
• Be flexible and willing to learn, including cross-training and developing in other areas in the plant
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work well with others on the team

Work Environment: (Change based on Location/Role)

The atmosphere is that of an office environment where sitting for prolonged periods of time are critical. Frequent use of company communication devices is required such as a computer, phone, and other office electronics.

The atmosphere is that of a manufacturing plant. The position will primarily work where moving machinery produces noise. Employees must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for that location. Temperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heat. Physical fitness to include movements, positioning, remaining stationary which include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing/pulling, forward bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, postural balancing, manipulating, trunk rotation, handling, gripping, and talking (hearing). Must be able to lift up to 80lbs-100lb with assistance. Frequent use of company communication devices are required such as a computer, phone, and other office electronics.

PAY & SCHEDULE:

            Starting Pay: $18.85 with Pay Increases during the 1st year.

• Base Pay as of 11/3/2025 will be $19.45
• Base Pay at 1 Year Anniversary will be $20.45

            Shift Premium: $0.75 per hour for night shift.

Shift: 12-hour rotating schedules (7:00 am – 7:00 pm for Days, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am for Nights). Schedules may change based on business need.

            Pattern: 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off, Repeat
