The Boskalis Business Unit Offshore Heavy Lifting is responsible for the operations of the Heavy Lift Vessels, which operate in sectors as Offshore Wind, Platform Decommissioning and Oil and Gas installation. We work with state-of-the-art equipment like our Bokalift 1 and Bokalift 2 supported by our large fleet of other vessels (diving; construction; transport vessels) with which we areable to run multi discipline projects for clients in the offshore energy market.

Job Description

Make your mark as Lead Production Engineer Offshore Heavy Lifting. With the focus on our installation vessels Bokalift 1 and Bokalift 2, you are responsible for all aspects (also on site) of production calculation and optimization, from project preparation to evaluation. Production means de- and refining our nett durations and operational limits by means of gathering and analyzing information from the projects.

You contribute to the growth of Boskalis by:

• Functionally leading the team (4-6 FTE) of production engineers within Offshore Heavy Lifting
• Collecting and processing performance data from the installation vessels;
• Independently processing production calculation requests for tenders and projects;
• Gathering, checking and managing multidisciplinary information for the production database;
• Co-developing and continuously improving the production estimating tool (in Python language);
• Supporting and evaluating projects (in office and on vessel) by staying informed about production data, implementation methods and equipment. Checking productions and the budget and timely report deviations to the project team -  proposing ideas for improvement;
• Gaining practical experience and applying this in calculations and work supervision.

Your qualities
You can make your mark as Lead Production Engineer Offshore Heavy Lifting if you have:

• Higher Professional Education in a technical discipline;
• Affinity with data analyses related to offshore installation operations;
• Good communication skills and good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken;
• You are motivated and eager to develop your skills in this role;
• You are a team player, creative, pro-active and good analytical thinker.
• Willingness to travel globally to visit our vessels a few times a year.
• Ambition to grow towards mature team lead

• Your Team: The Production team is part of the Engineering team within the business unit Boskalis Heavy Lifting. You will report to the General Manager Engineering. The Production team currently has 3 team members and will grow in the coming year.
• Where you will work: you will mainly be working at our head office in Papendrec
