Counsels and educates management and advises employees on business related health issues and company medical services. Counsels on emerging health issues and on health effects of occupational exposures. Coordinates medical fitness for duty programs.

Supports medium sized clients/customers and makes significant contributions to more complex projects under periodic supervision. General knowledge of the work function and Chevron’s practices.

Chevron is accepting online applications for the Repetitive Stress Injury Specialist (Direct Hire Contractor – 3-year contract) position.

Job Summary:

The Repetitive Stress Injury Specialist is responsible for designing and implementing ergonomic solutions to improve workplace safety, efficiency, and comfort. This role involves conducting ergonomic assessments, developing intervention strategies, and providing training to employees. The RSI Specialist will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that ergonomic principles are integrated into workplace design and practices. The position will report to the Senior Occupational Health Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive ergonomic assessments of workstations, tools, behaviors, and equipment to identify potential ergonomic risks
• Develop and implement ergonomic intervention strategies to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders and improve employee comfort and productivity
• Provide training and education to employees on ergonomic principles, proper body mechanics, design individual exercise programs and injury prevention techniques
• Monitor, document, and analyze ergonomic-related injury data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Prepare and present ergonomic assessment reports and recommendations to relevant stakeholders
• Participate in the development and review of company policies and procedures related to ergonomics and workplace safety
• Review, evaluate, and analyze work environments, human factors, and design programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy
• Must be a licensed Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in clinical setting, occupational health, or sports-related field
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to speak and write Spanish (for at least 1 of the RSI Specialist)

Working Conditions:

• This position is on a hybrid set-up and may require occasional travel to various company sites
• The RSI Specialist may be required to work outside of regular business hours to address urgent discomfort concerns
• Flexibility in working hours to support other time zones

Relocation Options:

Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.

International Considerations:

Selected candidate will work in the Philippines under the local payroll system and benefits.
